Welcome! We want your first experience with acupuncture to be relaxing and informative. Here is how your initial session will look:
The Consultation: We begin with a deep dive into your health history. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we look at the whole picture—sleep, digestion, and stress levels—not just a single symptom.
The Assessment: Your practitioner may look at your tongue and check your pulse. These are diagnostic tools used to understand your body’s internal "landscape."
The Treatment: You will rest comfortably on a massage table. We use hair-thin, sterile, single-use needles. Most patients feel a slight "qi" sensation (like a heavy ache or a tingle), but many find the process so relaxing they fall into an "acu-nap."
Rest & Integration: Once the needles are in, you’ll rest for 20–30 minutes in a quiet, dimly lit room. This is your time to disconnect and heal.
Aftercare: We’ll wrap up with a customized plan, which might include herbal recommendations, stretching, or dietary advice to support your progress between sessions.
Eat a Light Snack: Don’t come on a completely empty stomach, but avoid a heavy meal right before.
Wear Loose Clothing: This allows easy access to points on your arms, legs, and torso.
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water after your treatment to help your body process the session.
